Evangelist Bola Are is one of the pioneers of gospel music in Nigeria.

Grandmother of gospel music as fondly called by fans was born on 1 october 1954 in Erio, Ekiti west local government, Ekiti state.

Bola had her early education in her home town and secondary education at Christ Apostolic church school Efon Alaye, Ekiti state before she proceeded to Ibadan polythecnic.

Are who started her musical career at an early age, released her debut album, Baba Kuse in 1977 with her band which is widely known as Bola and her spiritual singers.

Bola who had started singing as early as two was brought up by four prophets in Nigeria; Apostle Ayodele Babalola, Prophet Babajide, Prophet Akande and Prophet T.O. Obadare.

The vibrant and ever spirit-filled music minister has numerous songs and albums to her credit. Her songs include evergreen Baba Kuse, Anointed Praise, Homage, Ajaga Babiloni, Oore Ofe among other songs.

Evangelist Bola Are was once the President of Gospel Musician Association of Nigeria, GOMAN.
