[Sermon]: Understanding the Pathways to Godliness (3) – Bishop David Oyedepo

Understanding the Pathways to Godliness (3) – Bishop David Oyedepo
Title: Understanding the Pathways to Godliness Part 3

Text: Isaiah. 59:8

Message:

You are not free from addiction to negative things because you are wise but because God has helped you.

If evil thoughts come by thinking, it can only go by rethinking. - Lk. 15:12

Fear always breeds misfortunes.

If sin is not aborted, it will lead to death.

If you abort the thought, you abort sin; if you abort the sin, you abort death.

Every act in life is either adding value to you or eroding your value.

Everything has its roots in our thoughts.

If you are not occupied with the right thoughts, the wrong thoughts will occupy your mind.

Costs of Ungodliness:

1. Ungodliness stirs shame and reproach - Pro. 14:34, Judges 16:23-25

2. It blocks access to divine favour. - Ps. 5:12, Gen. 39:3, 21

3. It stirs fear and dread. - Job 3:24-25

To Experience Liberty from Sin and Unrighteousness:

1. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. - 2 Cor. 6:14, 1 Cor. 15:33

2. Be committed and addicted to fellowship with the saints. - Heb 3:13, 10:25

3. Be delighted about keeping God's commandments. - Heb. 12:2, Ps. 112:1-2

Enough is Enough Ministration

- Every affliction of long continuance is a manifestation of the curse of the law. - Deut. 28:59, Gal. 3:13

- By redemption, the curse of the law no longer has a hold upon your life. - Gal. 3:13-14

- Suffering beyond a while is anti-covenant. - 1 Pet. 5:10

- The anointing is primarily for the destruction of yokes.

To Be Free From All Long Term Concerns:

1. Be born again. - Eph. 5:8

2. Stay in love with God. - Jhn. 14:21, 1 Jhn. 4:8,16

3. Enter into a covenant to serve God. - 2 Chr. 15:22, Matt. 6:33, Is. 10:27.
