Sinach Wins GMA Song Of The Year Award

It is another feather to the cap of Nigerian International gospel music minister, Sinach, as she bags the ‘Song Of The Year’ award at the GMA Dove Awards.

A Dove Award is an accolade by the Gospel Music Association (GMA) of the United States to recognize outstanding achievement in the Christian music industry. It is one of the biggest gospel music awards in the world with ‘The Song Of The Year’ category serving as the biggest accolade.

Sinach shines at the awards with her critically acclaimed song, 'Way Maker' which was originally released in 2015. The song gained massive recognition following its performances by the Elevation Worship and other Christian rock bands.

Sinach vied for the awards along with international gospel artists such as Kirk Franklin, Zach Williams, Matthew West, Jason Ingram among many others.

Sinach who is undeniably one of the most successful gospel artists in Africa became the first African to top the Billboard Christian Songwriters Chart and make it to the list of 100 most influential Women in Africa.
