Text: Genesis 18: 9-14

Today's focus: Abraham, as a man to whom the heavens open.

God lives in heaven and does as He pleases. Psalm 115:3, Isaiah 66:1

However, He came down from heaven to visit Abraham. Genesis 18

For God to come down from heaven, certain steps must take place:

The heavens open

He gets up, which causes His enemies to scatter. Psalm 68:1

Every step God takes towards you makes the earth tremble. Deut. 33:27, Psalm 114:7

On His way to you, He distributes miracles to your loved ones and to those on His way.

For Abraham:

1. He ate human food, doing something He hadn't done before. Psalm 50: 12-13

2. After He ate, God said thank you to Abraham for giving Him food by addressing Abraham's number 1 problem.

When you host God, He will say thank you to you by addressing your problems.

3. He turned all His promises to Abraham to decrees. Genesis 15: 1-6, 17: 1-2

4. The Almighty God overrode the doubts and unbelief of Sarah; her unbelief didn't stop Him from giving them their miracle even though the Bible says the just shall live by faith. Habakkuk 2:4; Isaiah 43:13; Psalm 33:8.

5. The Almighty God chose to demonstrate His Almightiness. Luke 1:37

~ Even though Sarah's womb was dead, God stepped in, and joy replaced sorrow.

6. The laughter the Lord gave Sarah became a daily kind of laughter. Genesis 21: 3-6

For every true child of God, you can enjoy the open heavens and blessings that Abraham did because you're a seed of Abraham.
