CAC Living Water Daily Devotional 22nd November 2021 – Experiencing God's Salvation

Topic: Experiencing God's Salvation

Text: 1 John 3:7-10

[7]Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

[8]He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

[9]Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

[10]In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

Memorize: And Moses said to the people, "Do not be afraid, Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever" (Exodus 14:13)

It is better imagined than experienced, to be in captivity of a powerful, very brutal and merciless enemy. May the Lord deliver those in such situations, in Jesus' name. Only when God's mighty power intervenes/interrupts can the enemy surrender totally, thus effecting the captives' automatic release.

The Israelites were once in such a terrible situation. Their captors, the stronger Egyptians, subjected them to hard labour, and eventually resorted to killing their male children to keep subjugating them. Enemies have ways of making their captives depressed and destabilised. God's power will liberate you from your enemies who are stronger than you, in Jesus' name. The Israelites were so fed up, but all they could do was groan in their terrible affliction. The captors have a way of reducing the captives to nothing. The Babylonians changed the names of the four Hebrews (Daniel & co), but could not change their characters and destinies, why?

Weeping may endure for a night, there will be joy in the morning for you. The morning of deliverance eventually came for the Lord's people as their captors' power was totally broken. His incomparable power dismantled Pharaoh's. Trust in God to enjoy His salvation and be free from all evil.

God told the lsraelites at the peak of their deliverance, 'Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today'. The Egyptians (problems) you see today, you will see them no more because Jesus has come to destroy devil's work in your life. Therefore, live for Him and enjoy His salvation. Anytime from NOW, you will sing songs of VICTORY.

Prayer Points

1. Lord, deliver me from my oppressors; show me Your power that is mighty to save.

2. Lord, destroy the power of evildoers in our land who subject people to unnecessary hardship with their evil powers.

3. O God, send Your salvation and deliver Your Church from the hand of the anti-gospel spirit covertly and overtly attacking Christendom.
